Having previously exhibited with Merkur, Lackner observed key trends shaping Colombia’s gaming market. Now representing Amatic, he aims to assess potential opportunities for market entry. “It was my second time in GAT Expo Cartagena. In 2024 I participated as exhibitor when I worked for Merkur at the time”, said Lackner, in a Q&A with SoloAzar.

GAT Expo Cartagena highlights

“A good variety of products, especially in land-based gaming. In my opinion, the shown products represent the needs of the Colombian market quite well and gave an indicator, who wants to push stronger in this market”, he affirmed.

“As I am now working with Amatic, a company which is currently not present in the Colombian market, it was important for me to understand, what the current market needs are. Based on what I have seen on the show and on my market visit the days before in Bogotá and Cartagena, I have a clearer picture now to work on a business case and a possible market entry,” he added.

When asked if he plans to participate in other GAT Expo events, he said: “I am most likely going to join the show in San Juan in October as we are a supplier for the Puerto Rico Route Operations.”
